RIFA Celebration and Food Pantry Collection

RIFA Celebration and Food Pantry Collection

Aldersgate has had the blessing of “Serving Others” through
the mission of the Regional Interfaith Association for many years.  One of these means of service is through the
monthly Thursday night meals our congregation has served for over nine
years.  Our church has purchased,
prepared, and served over 6,000 clients of RIFA over this time helping to
alleviate hunger and be the hands and feet of Christ.

At our Sept. 13th Sunday worship service,
we will celebrate our participation in this ministry by re-living these 9
years.  In addition, we will look to
support the future of RIFA by collecting staple food supplies for the Soup
Kitchen.  Please come to our worship with
any of the following items that will be donated to RIFA for their food and
supplies pantry:  plastic forks, lemonade
mix, 10 oz. disposable bowls, aluminum foil, powdered coffee creamer, instant
potatoes, macaroni & cheese, and sugar.

To continue this ministry, we need your on-going help.  If you have not yet helped support our RIFA
Thursday meals, we need you!  On the
fourth Thursday each month, we need help preparing the food and serving between
5:00 and 7:00 pm.  Our next opportunity
to serve will be September 24th.
Please see Jan Matthews or Judy Sutton to get more information or to
volunteer.  We guarantee you will receive
a greater blessing than you will provide.
