Adult Ministries

At Aldersgate, we are committed to following Jesus Christ. The Adult Ministries Team provides study and enrichment opportunities for adults of all ages. By focusing on developing and strengthening programs that promote faith and fellowship, the Adult Ministries Team seeks to provide opportunities for fellowship and devotion to adults from all walks of life. We hope you will be able to find your place in the Aldersgate community and that you will join us on the journey of faith, no matter where you may be in your life. Special Functions

Special activities planned by Adult Ministries occur throughout the year. Past planned outings have included Jackson Starlight Symphony, Graduation Celebrations, Talent Nights, and Chili Cook-offs.

The Ladies Who Lunch

Any woman is invited to come and enjoy food and fellowship at a local Jackson restaurant. It will alternate between a weekday and Saturday schedule.

Bible Study

Small group Bible studies are led by our pastor or lay member at varying times. Previous studies have included the book of Daniel and the book of Galatians. Check the newsletter and the website for current study offerings and times.

Friendship Group

Friendship Group is a monthly fellowship meeting on the 4th Sunday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the church fellowship hall for adults with special needs in the Jackson community.

Bible Study

Small group Bible studies are offered at designated times throughout the year and are led by different teachers. Bible study schedules and discussion materials will be posted on the website and can be found in the newsletter.

Explorers Bible Study

Explorers Bible Study, for women in the Jackson and surrounding community, meets every Tuesday morning during the school year at 9:20 am.

Martha Circle

The Martha Circle at Aldersgate meets monthly to experience Jesus Christ through fellowship and missions. The Martha Circle meets the 3rd Tuesday at 7pm in members’ homes. All women are welcome to join the circle.

Sunday School Classes

The Adult Ministries Team is also responsible for the oversight of the Adult Sunday School classes. Sunday School classes meet at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
